We learned about the story of The Salmon Of Knowledge.

We all picked a scene to illustrate.

We thought the legend was very interesting.

Balancing

We worked hard to see what balances we could make in PE

All the boys and girls came up with their own shapes.

Some children made some really good balances and teacher could not balance like the children.

Take a look at some of the excellent balances the boys and girls in room 8 were able to do.

Balance

Room 8 learned all about balance.

We experimented with cubes and items we found around the classroom.

We wanted to see how many cubes it took to balance the scale when we place different items on the scale.

We all guesed how many cubes it would take to balance the scale.

Everyone was suprised to see that the book took 33 cubes to balance the scale.

Construction

Today we worked really hard on constructions.


We made a stage.

We learned that every story has a beginning a middle and an end.



We chose the scene of the kitchen and the porridge made by Mammy Bear.


We stuck the scene to the back of a shoe box.

We cut the characters out on card so they would stand up.

We will have great fun making other stories using our characters.

We talked about special things.

We all have something that is speical to us.

We shared our special things with our class.

Today it was Oliwia's name day.

She brought a treat for every body in the class.

Polish Name Day Tradition
If you have ever seen a Polish calendar, you may have noticed that each day of the year has a name on it.

Names appear on almost every Polish calendar and indicate what is called imieniny or “name day”, the feast day of the saint for whom you are named.

In Poland, name days are a special time for family and friends to gather.

Sometimes friends and family simply stop by to wish the person celebrating their name day Wszystkiego najlepszego! (All the best!) and sto lat! (A hundred years!).
